Scottsdale, Arizona
An historic escape for celebrities and presidents, Scottsdale, Arizona has two re-openings for Frank Lloyd Wright enthusiasts. Taliesin West reopens to the public October 15. The famed architect’s winter home and desert laboratory is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built and maintained almost entirely by Wright and his apprentices, Taliesin West is the most personal of the architect’s creations. Visitors will be required to wear face coverings, and guided tours will be smaller and socially distanced. The Arizona Biltmore, re-opening on November 1, was designed by one of Wright’s students and is the only luxury hotel in the world with a Frank Lloyd Wright influence.
